Anteater Recreation Center (ARC) operates as an 89,000-square-foot indoor recreation facility at the University of California, Irvine, serving UCI students, faculty, staff, alumni, and university affiliates including spouses. The facility, designed by Langdon Wilson Architecture and opened in January 2000, was built at a cost of $26 million through student referendum funding. The center features comprehensive amenities including a main gym with three basketball/volleyball courts, fitness lab with cardiovascular equipment and free weights, indoor jogging track, 36-foot rock climbing wall, three racquetball courts, and five activity rooms for fitness classes.

Additional facilities include a back court gym for floor hockey and indoor soccer, wellness lab with functional training equipment, aquatics plaza with 25-meter lap pool, and 25-acre outdoor ARC fields for various sports. The center offers extensive programming including intramural sports leagues across fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters, club sports, fitness classes, personal training, massage therapy, and outdoor adventure activities.
