The Student Recreation Center houses a Climbing Center featuring 6,000 square feet of climbing terrain, including a 55-foot pinnacle, bouldering wall, instructional routes, and climbing cave. The Climbing Center operates with specific hours including weekdays from noon to 9 p.m. and weekends from noon to 7 p.m.
Youth climbing programs are available weekdays from 1-6 p.m. and weekends from noon to 7 p.m., providing specialized access for children 17 and younger during designated hours. The climbing facility accommodates various skill levels and provides both recreational and instructional climbing opportunities.
The Outdoor Program offers adventure-based, human-powered activities with gear rentals, guided trips, and educational resources. The Outdoor Rental Center operates weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and remains closed on weekends, while the Outdoor Program Office maintains weekday hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The facility features state-of-the-art fitness amenities including weight training and circuit areas, cardio equipment, and an indoor track. Two full-size gymnasiums provide space for basketball, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball activities, while a multi-activity court accommodates various recreational sports.
Group fitness studios and classrooms support instructor-led programming with unlimited drop-in access included in employee and public memberships. Students can purchase group fitness class access for twenty-five dollars per seven-week section, with prorated pricing that decreases daily throughout each section.
Wellness and recovery amenities include saunas, individual changing rooms, a lactation room, and the Vandal Health Education Well Space that operates weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additional facilities include locker rooms with checkout items and classroom spaces for educational programming.
The Recreation and Wellbeing Fitness Program offers variety in group fitness classes, personal training sessions, and individual fitness assessments. All fitness instructors and personal trainers maintain certifications from national organizations and receive additional specialized training.
Group fitness classes operate on a first-come, first-served basis with schedules subject to change based on instructor availability. Class access after sessions begin is not permitted, and space or equipment cannot be saved for participants who are not present. No refunds are provided for postponed or cancelled classes.

Multiple personal training session packages include 4 sessions for $160, 10 sessions for $375, and 20 sessions for $700. All sessions last 55 minutes and expire one year from purchase date. New clients must complete a fitness assessment counted as the first session of any purchased package.
Partner personal training accommodates two individuals with similar training goals, fitness levels, and availability. Personal trainers specialize in sports-specific training, training novice exercisers, weight management, strength training, and cardiovascular training to meet diverse client needs.
