Anderson Athletic & Recreation Complex (AARC) serves as the centerpiece of campus fitness and athletics at the University of St. Thomas, supporting 21 NCAA Division I varsity teams alongside campus community recreation. The facility features two cardio and weight rooms equipped with lifting platforms, bumper plates, squat racks, dumbbells, kettlebells, cable machines, treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, and stair climbers, plus flat-panel televisions and windowed workout spaces for natural lighting.
The 49,500 square foot fieldhouse houses a 200-meter indoor track with 6 lanes for walking and running, while Schoenecker Arena provides basketball and volleyball courts with parquet-style maple flooring. Aquatic facilities include an 8-lane deep-water pool designed to reduce turbulence for swimmers, plus a separate diving well reserved for athletics teams. Located at the University of St. Thomas, the AARC welcomes all students, faculty, and staff during open recreation hours scheduled around varsity practices, intramurals, club sports, and external rentals. The facility includes visitor locker rooms with showers, changing areas, and daily rental lockers, making it accessible for campus community fitness and wellness activities.
